'Chloé and Anton', a theater play written by Amos Tindemans and co-directed by Judith Van Oeckel, tells the story of an actor and a dancer rehearsing their performance about rejection and the subsequent emotional damage. The two are also lovers in ‘real life’, but cracks in that relationship have been growing within the past days. What happens offstage also begins to manifest itself onstage. As rehearsals progress, the struggles suck all the energy out of their creation process. The story of the show and their own reality slowly but surely begins to intertwine. This causes extreme tension and emotional discharges with painful consequences.
The play provides a dire accurate look at failure and loss.
'Chloé and Anton' has been seen at Love at First Sight Festival, Monty Kultuurfactorij and ARSENAAL/LAZARUS, (2021) among others.
